2004 Eastern Sierras, CA. When I went back to reshoot the Abandoned Piano image, I noticed these pulleys which I had not seen before. At first I wasn't sure if they would make a nice image. I carefully considered them, all the while sweating immensly in the September desert heat. After I shot the polaroid and rearranged the camera a little I found this composition which I am quite happy with. This has become one of my favorite images, its hanging on the wall in front of me as I write this.
